It is a great conversation starter with seat mates.Kareehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13064785750925559451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697626252832711006.post-79498551888954596402011-07-17T20:26:40.538-06:002011-07-17T20:26:40.538-06:00Have you seen any of Mary Ellen Hopkins' books...Have you seen any of Mary Ellen Hopkins' books? As you already know it's a wonderful feeling to be able to say, "I designed this."

Too many quilters think they can't design. But everybody can. It's a skill that can be learned. And it's not that hard.

It may take some time to learn, but then so does sewing or driving a car.

I truly wish every quilter would try designing quilts. It's fun.Wayne Kollingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12011643924846256260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697626252832711006.post-13169279585817251692011-06-27T14:30:25.967-06:002011-06-27T14:30:25.967-06:00Hi Wayne, Love your blog! I am so amused when I am asked what pattern I used and I say "I made it up". The look is incredulous! I see patterns as a place to start, a way to learn a new technique, a guideline. All of us are far more creative than we know. Thanks for your supportive and creative posts! Have a great day!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12471627015846601167noreply@blogger.com
