Nine Patch

What if I use a Nine Patch block and an I-don't-know-what-to-call-it block in a Nine Patch setting to create a motif?




What if I repeat 4 of this motif to create a quilt top?

This has possibilities, but it is hard on the eyes in black and white.  I need to play with color to find something that works better.

What if I try red, black, and a light yellow brown?

I like this some days but not others.  I'll try again.

What if I try black and greens?

This one I like some days and the other days as well.  So now I'm happy.
