Nine Patch Curves
Way back on 3 January 2011 I was playing with Nine Patch blocks and made some wiggly lines.
My wife had some 2 1/2" cut squares left over from a project and wanted to use them up. So she made this scrappy quilt top from my design.
I think it turned out rather well. Don't you?
I agree. I plan to use this as a stepping off point to play with small 9-patch blocks in one of my future quilts. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYes, it does look good .... would be an interesting border too, though might be tricky getting around corners!
ReplyDeleteLove how the creamy background looks.

ReplyDeleteWhen you do design your future Nine Patch quilt, let me know. I'll link to your blog so that my readers can see it too.

ReplyDeleteI don't think the corners will be all that tricky to do. If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the photo, the curve is already more than half way around the corner.
My original design called for larger pieces of a single fabric to fill the background. My wife decided it would be better to piece the background from small squares of various fabrics. And, of course, she was right.
It really did. I am just really excited to have stumbled upon your blog. You really are going to help me. Thanks so much!
