The Secret To Creating Quilt Designs
Do Something, anything.
And then change it.
Then change it again.
And again.
And again.
Keep changing it.
Until you find something you like.
And then start over to see if you can find something you like even better.
As always, Wayne... another inspiring post. I am always impressed at how you are able to start off with a very simple idea and build, and build on it. Very stimulating!
ReplyDeleteWayne,
ReplyDelete"And then start over to see if you can find something you like even better."
And then go back to all the steps along the way and work with them ... I can see some great designs in the making all along the way. Branching out at any time along the way would yield great results too.
As aways, lots of inspiration!

So much fun... thanks for keeping my mind working!
ReplyDeleteI don't always comment on all your posts, Wayne, but I DO read them all. And really needed to congratulate you again on your blog. I used you as an example on my post today!

ReplyDeleteI have to start with something simple; I don't know how to start with something complicated.
I'm flattered by your mention of me in your blog. I'm not used to being thought of as a good example. But I can live with it.

ReplyDeleteYou are right, branching out from a design a different points along the way can lead to exciting results. I sometimes go back to old designs and do that very thing.
Since it is impossible to follow every possible branch to a conclusion, the trick is trying to guess which branches will yield the most satisfying designs.

ReplyDeleteYour mind works fine without any help from me.
