Snail's Trail
Part 2
This is a continuation of my last post. I'm coloring a Snail's Trail block various ways to see what happens.
What if one spiral arm starts light green at the center and gets darker moving out?
What if the other arms are three different grays?
What if one of the gray corners is green instead?
What if the other two gray corners are the same gray?
What if four blocks are combined rotated to make a larger block?
What if four of the larger block are repeated?
What if the colors from the last design are reversed? Light green becomes dark magenta. Dark green becomes light magenta. Light grays become dark grays.
What if the lightest magenta is replaced with white?
What if four blocks are combined rotated to make a larger block?
What if four of the larger blocks are separated by white sashing?
What if a dark blue spiral and a light blue spiral are side-by-side and a light gray spiral and a lighter gray spiral are side-by-side?
What if the last piece of the light blue spiral is gray?
What if the last piece of the light gray spiral is the same color as the last piece of the lighter gray spiral?
What if four of the blocks are combined rotated to make a larger block?
What if four of the larger blocks are combined?
What if a red, an orange and a yellow spiral are side-by-side?
What if the remaining spiral is a light gray?
What if four blocks are combined reflected to make a larger block?
What if four of the larger blocks are repeated?
What if a purple spiral and a light maroon spiral are side-by-side?
What if the remaining two spirals are a single light gray?
What if a larger block is made by combining four blocks in an odd fashion?
What if four of the larger blocks are combined?
To be continued......
cool
ReplyDeleteLove this 'what if' post! What if we all spent more time using 'what if'?

ReplyDeleteIf more people were to ask "what if" more often, then more people would discover how easy it is to design blocks and quilts. And more people would discover the joy of being able to say, "I sewed this quilt and I designed it."
