Paired Blocks: Nine Patch & Monday

The block on the left I originally called simple block #8. Not the most memorable name. So I decided to change it to Monday.



I decided to play with Monday and Nine Patch to see what sort of designs I could discover.

Paired Blocks - Nine Patch & C Block

I wanted to see what would happen if I combined a Nine Patch block with a Snowball block. Except that I didn't really use a Snowball block. But I don't know what else to call it.

My Snowball block quickly turned into a different version of itself. Since it looks like a C, I guess I could call it C-Block.

After yesterday's post I got the urge to play some more with this unit.




Even worse, I wanted to play with this arrangement of the unit.

In my last post I used a simple block to design this quilt top. My wife wants to make the quilt and asked me to produce a pattern for her. I thought I would work it out online and show you how I go about turning a promising design into an pattern.
