Playing with Piecing

Octopus

I must admit I don't find octopi to be the cutest animals.  I thought it would be a challenge to make a quilt block featuring one.

Tortoise

I drew this picture of a tortoise. To me he looks slow and none too bright.  He also looks like he should be easy to piece. Let's find out.

Elephant

I wanted to make an elephant block, so I drew what I thought was a reasonably good elephant.
Perhaps it's a little cartoony (Is this a word?); but it's recognizable.

Snail

I drew my version of a snail on a grid using only straight lines.  I want to make a quilt block from it; so now I need to discover how I am going to piece it.

Lion

I want to use this lion's face as a quilt block so now I have to work out how I'm going to piece it.

I've drawn it on a grid to make it easier to determine were to place my seam lines.

The eyes, mouth and whiskers are shown in red because I'm going to stitch those.

Panda

I found this little fellow hanging around the house.  He suggested I might want to try designing a pieced Panda block.

What if I do a little research and then try drawing a Panda face?
