Swirl #3

Bernice

I designed this swirl block and named it after my wife's mother Bernice.

When I play with it this is what I get.

I wish I could find the time to sew them all.

  1. The pink n purple one with that black gives the illusion of butterflies. Love it.

Thanks for pointing out the butterflies. I didn't see them.

What I saw was the illusion of rectangles when the blocks are actually square.

  3. Love the first one ... simple, clean and very modern looking! Would like to add a line to connect top and bottom at the sides.

I noticed the butterflies too, but also noticed the rectangles. Wonderful optical illusion.

My wife asked me draw up the pattern for that one so she could make it.

Feel free to add the line along the sides; sounds like a good idea to me.

  5. I love the last one, color and shape. I wish I were good enough at piecing to sew such a quilt. Maybe I'm too lazy. I do apologize for my bad English.

I wish I were good enough at piecing to sew such a gorgeous quilt and good enough at English to tell you how much I enjoy looking at your blog

The piecing for this block is straight lines and connector corners. Ce n'est pas difficile.

There's nothing wrong with your English
