Last week, 7 August 2010, I tried playing with how an Amish Star was colored and discovered this block.

What if I rotate 4 blocks so that the dark olive corners touch and the combine them to make a larger block?

What if I rotate 4 blocks so that their medium olive corners meet at the center of a new block?

What if I rotate 4 blocks so that their light corners are in the center?

What if I simply repeat 4 blocks?










I now have 4 new blocks that I can use to create quilt patterns.
