Look What Linda Did

Linda took one of the quilt tops I designed using my Pinawa block and made it her own.

This is the Pinawa block in red, pink, black and white.

When repeated the block makes this quilt top.


The half hearts on the sides don't work. So Linda decided to eliminate them by reworking the block .

She made heart strips and black&white strips, then joined them.

The Pinawa block has completely disappeared. All the original elements are still there, but not the original block.



The original block provided an idea for a quilt top.  Refining the quilt top resulted in reworking the block.

Linda's choice of fabrics also added to the design.

As did her quilting.











The moral : The design process isn't finished until the quilt is finished.
