Add a little quilting and it looks totally different.
This design uses only two elements.

This is the first element used in the quilting design. It ends in the corner of a square diagonally opposite from the corner it started out in.

This is the second element of the design. it starts and ends on the same side of a square but in the opposite corner.
It all goes together like this:
