This applique design comes from my 21 July 2010 post. It is made using pieces cut with the feather die for the Go fabric cutter.

I want to see what kind of patterns I can create with it.

Yesterday I discovered this quilt design which features Wonky Shoo Fly blocks and sashing. Today I'm going to try different ways of coloring it.

I was looking through some of my old posts and I found this placemat from 3 August 2010.

It is made by appliqueing simple swoosh shapes. Each one is about 1 1/2" x 2 3/4".

What if I start by duplicating the block grid around the outside of the design?

When I change the grid on a Jacob's Ladder block I get a wonky Jacob's Ladder.

By asking what if and playing with various arrangements and color versions I hope to find something that I like.
