Tear Drop Placemat

What if I cut simple tear drop shapes like this using my Go fabric cutter and use them to make 12" x 18" placemats?

I have a 12" x 18" cutting mat; what if I use it to design on?

Using the cutting mat gives me a grid to design on, which makes arranging the pieces easier.

I wish I was a better photographer and knew how to get rid of the hot spot created by the built-in flash on my camera.
