Curved Tear Drop Placemat

This placemat is from my 2 July 2010 post. How should I quilt it?

The pattern is made using appliqued tear drops.

What if I repeat the corner patterns in the center, but quilted instead of appliqued?

What if I rotate the corner patterns so that they suggest a flower?

What if I keep the large flower in the center, make the corner patterns smaller and move them to the empty corners?

What if I replace the large flower with 4 smaller ones?

What if I place 6 small flowers in the center and change the color of the appliqued corners to suggest leaves?

I'm happy with this.
