From My Pieced Alphabet:

First One

I call this alphabet First One because that's what it was - the first pieced alphabet I designed and the first one I sewed. It was also the first and last alphabet I ever paper pieced. I find paper piecing awkward and time consuming. I also find that I am more accurate doing regular piecing.

As you can see the piecing for this letter is straight forward and simple.

This gives you a better feel for what the entire alphabet looks like.

The horizontal strokes are narrower than the vertical strokes. The vertical spaces in the letters are the same width as the vertical strokes but the seem wider.

For more lettering go to My Post by Subject in the sidebar on the right and click on Lettering.
