Paired Blocks #11

Drunkard's Path & Snowball

Starting with these two blocks, Snowball and Drunkard's path, I want to see what motifs I can create by combining them.

The next step is to see if I can design a quilt using one or more of these motifs.

It's fun pairing up 2 different blocks to see what happens. I've done it before. And no doubt I'll try it again. To see some of my prevous attempts go to My Posts by Subject in the sidebar on the right and click on Mixed Blocks.

  1. What about this? Instead of Drunkard's Path, you could make a one-cornered snowball and piece two rectangles onto it to make a faux Drunkard's Path. A little more angular, no curved piecing more 'traditional' piecing.

I like the way you think. The results would be very much like the ones above, but a whole lot easier to sew. Go to the front of the class.
