Playing with Colors

Hidden Star Placemat

Today I thought it might be fun to take a placemat made with 6 Hidden Star blocks and see what happens when I play with how it's colored.

    I am always amazed at how much color can affect the structure of a design by changing the visual emphasis.

    I looked up federation verandah tiles on the internet and I see what you mean. A lot of them look like quilt blocks. I wonder if anyone who had federation verandah tiles at their front entrance ever repeated the pattern on their bed quilts.
