What, You May Ask,

Is A Liebster Blog Award?

You may not be familiar with the Liebster Blog Award.  I just learned about it yesterday. I thought you might like to know about it too.

Some time (in the recent past), somewhere (rumor has it that it might be Germany), someone (I guessing he/she was named Liebster) decided to do something nice for a whole lot of bloggers and started the Liebster Blog Award.

It's an award you receive, but it is also an award that you give. If you receive a Liebster Blog Award you are asked to choose 3 other bloggers and send them one as well.

The criteria for giving the awards are simple.  They go to bloggers who have fewer than 300 followers and who deserve recognition  for a blog well done.

Yesterday, Ann Marie of 16 Muddy Feet sent me a Liebster Blog Award. If you were wondering why I was looking smug, now you know why.

Today, I get to pass the award on to 3 unsuspecting but deserving bloggers:

Angie Padilla of Angie's Bits and Pieces promotes quilters from around the world.

Elsie Montgomery of Elsie Quilts has designed some wonderful landscapes.

Judy Butcher of Virtual Quilter posts new quilt designs each day that she develops on EQ7.

There are a lot of other quilt bloggers who deserve a Liebster blog Award. I wish I could give them all one. I'm sure the others will get theirs eventually. These three will have to do for now.

  1. Congrats Wayne - you do a wonderful job designing all those quilts!

  2. Congratulations on your award. I do enjoy reading your blog and especially like the "wonky" blocks!
Keep up the good work that inspires the rest of us!
