Black-Capped Chickadee

I created this simplified drawing of a Black-capped Chickadee. Now I need to decide how to piece it.

What if I divide the Chickadee into 3 sections?

I have to alter the bird's beak slightly to make this work.

What if I divide each of the 3 sections into smaller sections, as shown by the green lines?

Finally the sections are divided into individual pieces.

When I color it in the Chickadee looks like this.

The feet are appliqued; the eye is stiched or it could be a bead.
