From My Pieced Alphabet:

Sandstone

The Sandstone alphabet was designed on a 7 x 11 grid.

The piecing for this letter is very straightforward.

The alphabet is also very straightforward and forceful.

There is plenty of space in the letter to do some fancy quilting or, as in the case of the example on the right, to do some in-lining.

For more lettering go to My Posts by Subject in the sidebar on the right and click on Lettering.

  1. Your alphabets always make me want to "write" something!

Next time you sew a quilt and you need to make a label you will have an opportunity to "write" something. So why not try it?

  3. Actually, I want to put words on the front, since I'm also a writer. I've lots of ideas, but the days are just too short. Oh, why won't my DH get me that houseboy that I keep asking for?! (grin)
