Playing with Blocks

Shoo Fly

Shoo Fly blocks are based on this outline pattern.

What if I start with a 3 x 3 grid of Shoo Fly blocks?  How can I color it to make life interesting?

What if I color the blocks yellow, through orange, to red going from corner to corner?

This is very cheery. I am going to treat it like a block.

What if I take 4 of these new large blocks, rotate them and then join them?

Still very cheery but it needs something.

What if I add some black lines?

The black lines add emphasis to the white ones. I find this very exciting.
