Swoosh Quilt

I was looking at this applique quilt that I designed 16 September 2010, when it occured to me that the corners are crowded. They are busy and detract from the quilt.

What if I remove part of the corner ornament?

I like how the corner looks now. This is better but is it enough?

What if I replace the corner ornament with something simpler?

This works. But is it too simple?

What does it look like when I add the quilting into the picture?

I think this looks fine. What do you think? Did I make the right choice?
