Hexagonal Blocks Quilt

Go back to my 3 November 2010 post and you'll find this design for a quilt top using hexagons.

Today I would like to add a border.

What if I extend the background and then use dark brown hexagons to make a border?

What if I remove the hexagons from the space between the border and the image?

What if I change the plain areas from light brown to dark brown? I'll lighten the border brown at the same time.

What if I go back to my original idea and make the area outside the hexagonal border deep dark brown?

I think this finishes the quilt nicely.
